Ehrstädt Castle
Ehrstädt Castle in Ehrstädt, a district of Sinsheim in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis (Baden-Württemberg), was built in 1769 by Christoph Ferdinand II von Degenfeld.
The castle, located in the southwest of the village, was built on the site of an older, burnt-down castle. The unadorned Baroque building, constructed on an L-shaped floor plan, is surrounded by a castle park. The three-story building under a gabled roof passed into the possession of the Barons Thumb von Neuburg through inheritance.
Above the portal are the initials of the builder ("C.F.V.D") and the year 1769.
