Ehrenfels Castle
Ehrenfels Castle was once the summer residence and pantry of the abbots of Zwiefalten. In 1803, Elector Friedrich of Württemberg gifted it to his Minister of State, Philipp Christian Friedrich Normann, for his services in the negotiations with Napoleon that prevented Württemberg from being dissolved. A few years later, he received the title of count and was henceforth allowed to call himself Philipp Christian Friedrich Graf von Normann-Ehrenfels. Today, Ehrenfels Castle is owned by Roland Freiherr von Saint-André, a descendant of Count Normann.
