Eckendorf Castle (Leopoldshöhe)

To be privately owned

Eckendorf Estate in the district of Schuckenbaum. The manor house presents itself as a three-winged complex, situated on a moated island with a bridge to the road. The north wing, as well as the pavilion tower crowned by a roof turret at the southeast corner, were built from 1630 by Arnold Schierheim. The east wing was erected in 1776 in forms of Classicism. The estate is located in a landscape park. The associated farm buildings across the road were only built in the late 19th century after a fire.
