The Origins of the Castle

Schloss Buseck, a magnificent baroque castle, is located in the heart of Hesse and looks back on a rich and eventful history. The foundation stone for this impressive building was laid in 1734 by Ernst Johann Philipp Hartmann von Buseck. He commissioned the construction of the castle, which was completed in 1735, to serve as his family residence.

Changes of Ownership and Further Development

A particularly notable change of ownership occurred when Countess Gabriele von Andlau-Homburg (née Weber) acquired the castle. Under her ownership, the castle may have undergone further renovations or modernizations to meet the needs of the time. Each owner contributed to the preservation and development of Schloss Buseck, making it the historical jewel it is today.
