Burgistein Castle

The castle was built in the 13th Century by Jordan built of Thun. 1339 the castle was built by the people of Berne after the battle of Laupen destroyed. According to the Bernese chronicler Konrad Justinger Jordan III was. Burgi of stone in the castle by shooting Ryffli shot. The newly built castle became extinct in 1397 by the family of Burgistein to Werner Munzer . 1493 the castle came into possession of the family of the Maison. After the marriage of Juliana of the Maison de Emanuel de Graffenried, the castle was in possession of the family by von Graffenried over. The present structure was built in the 16th Century.
