Bietingen Castle

Schloss Bietingen was built in 1720 for Ferdinand Maria von Hornstein according to plans by Johannes Dobler from Hohentwiel.

The palace is a magnificent example of Baroque architecture, characterized by its symmetrical facade, ornate decorations, and spacious interiors. The main building is flanked by two wings, forming a U-shaped courtyard that opens towards the gardens.

Ferdinand Maria von Hornstein, a prominent nobleman of the time, commissioned the construction of Schloss Bietingen. His vision was to create a residence that reflected his status and taste.

Johannes Dobler, a renowned architect from Hohentwiel, was responsible for translating von Hornstein's vision into reality. Dobler's expertise in Baroque design is evident in every detail of the palace, from its grand staircase to its intricately painted ceilings.
