Aschach Castle
Schloss Aschach+
Schloss Aschach is first mentioned in a document in 1334 as being owned by the Lords of Volders. In 1413, the castle burned down and was subsequently rebuilt. In 1470, ownership changed to the Füerer family. A prison was established in the castle. In 1575, it was converted into a residential building in its current form by Ernst von Rauchberg. Since 1931, the castle has been owned and inhabited by the Barons Altenburger.
