Schloss Uttenhoven+
Geschichte+

13. Jahrhundert

The castle was first mentioned in a document in the 13th century as a small noble residence. Later, it belonged to the von Schaumberger family. In the 18th century, the von Uttenhoven family took over the estate and built the present manor house using older remains. At the end of the Second World War, the communists expelled the last owners, plundered the castle and expropriated all property in the course of the land reform. In the GDR, the castle was used as a community seat and kindergarten until it was taken over in 2001 by the current owner Bodo Baron von Hoyningen-Huene.
