Weißbach Castle

The Schlössle is a manufacturer's villa built in 1922 on the banks of the Kocher river in Weißbach in the Hohenlohe district of Baden-Württemberg.

Kurt von Kleefeld, the chamber president of Christian Kraft zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen, had the building constructed on the site of an old administrative building of the saltworks. When Kleefeld moved to Switzerland in 1932, the manufacturer family Hornschuch, owners of today's company Konrad Hornschuch AG, took over the building. The building comprises 490 m² of living space on three floors in the main building and 730 m² in outbuildings. The family's coat of arms is still above the entrance today. The building and garden are listed as historical monuments.

Since 1996, the Schlössle has belonged to the truck and real estate dealer Heinz Stengel. In 2006, the building made headlines when the then tenant cultivated hemp on all three floors. The building is now part of the insolvency estate of the company CMI Internationaler Nutzfahrzeughandel and is in urgent need of renovation.
