Unterheiligenhoven Castle (Ruin) (Heiligenhoven)
The ruin of Unterheiligenhoven Castle is located near Unterheiligenhoven, Lindlar in the Oberbergisches Land in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The castle ruin is bordered to the north and east by ponds fed by the Lenneferbach stream. To the west of the ruin is a farm, and to the northeast is the Trinity Chapel. A water mill once stood at the confluence of the Vossbrucherbach and Lenneferbach streams.
The main castle dates from the 15th century, the outer bailey from the 17th century. The Niederheiligenhoven Feudal and Manorial Court met here. Access to the castle was via a bridge to the outer bailey. The southeastern part of the castle only collapsed in 1929. The Trinity Chapel dates from 1705.

The double ramparts of the castle are still clearly visible in the terrain, but have largely disintegrated. The outer bailey is surrounded by its own artificially raised ring wall. Storm Kyrill in January 2007 caused a tree to fall, further damaging the remains of the ruin. The ruin is located on private property and is not accessible.
