Königsegg Castle (Ruin)
Königsegg Castle is a castle ruin in the present-day district of Königsegg in the municipality of Guggenhausen in the district of Ravensburg in Baden-Württemberg.
The castle was built by the Lords of Königsegg, a branch of the Lords of Fronhofen, as their ancestral seat and was mentioned in 1251. The castle was part of the municipality of Hoßkirch until 1850. In the 16th to 17th century, the castle was rebuilt and was no longer inhabited by its owners from the mid-17th century onwards. Three buildings of the former castle complex are still preserved.
