Hohenstein Castle (Ruin)

Hohenstein Castle, also known as Alt-Hohenstein, is a castle ruin east of the municipality of Villingendorf in the district of Rottweil in Baden-Württemberg.
The castle was first mentioned in a document around 1100 but was already destroyed in 1312. Former owners included Konrad von Zimmern and the Lords of Rueti. Only a wall section of the former castle complex remains.
