Heersberg Castle (Ruin)

Heersberg Castle is a castle ruin on a spur on the southeast slope of the Heersberg at 853.5 m above sea level, 1000 meters northwest of the Albstadt district of Laufen in the Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg.

Heersberg Castle, whose original name is unknown, could possibly be the Neuentierberg Castle mentioned in 1362. According to finds examined by Christoph Bizer, the castle was built in the first half of the 13th century, and its end probably came in the mid-14th century, possibly during an attack, as a sling stone with a diameter of about 30 centimeters was also found among the artifacts.
