Guteborn Castle (Ruin)
In 1349/50, Guteborn is mentioned for the first time in the feudal book of Frederick the Strict. From 1575 to 1622, the knight's seat was owned by the von Gersdorf family, after which Count Hans Georg von Hoym acquired the village along with the noble seat.
During the November Revolution in 1918, the last Saxon king Frederick Augustus III sought refuge at the castle. From here he abdicated on November 13, 1918. Until 1945, the castle belonged to the Princes of Schönburg-Waldenburg. After their expropriation, it was blown up on August 8, 1948. Today, only the castle chapel remains.
