Bogeneck Castle (Ruin)
Bogeneck Castle, also known as Aistaig Castle, is a castle ruin near the Aistaig district of the city of Oberndorf am Neckar in the Rottweil district in Baden-Württemberg.
The spur castle is situated on a high plateau spur above the steep drop to the Neckar valley. It was built in the 11th century by the Lords of Aistaig and mentioned in 1098. Of the former fortified castle complex with a shield wall, remains of the shield wall made of ashlar masonry are still preserved.
