Rossmanagher Castle
Rossmanagher Castle was built in the 15th Century by John McMahon McDonagh MacNamara. 1570 the property changed to the Earl of Thomond. 1610 the castle was owned by Mahone MacNamara (son of Donogh MacNamara). In 1646, the castle was captured by the Confederate Army. 1675 hired Abraham Dester (D'Esterre) the castle. Until the mid 19th Century the castle was inhabited and fell thereafter.
