Roman Castle Windstalgraben

The Burgus at the exit of the Windstalgraben was probably built in the 4th century over a smaller predecessor building from the 2nd or 3rd century. The northeast side, running parallel to the B 33, was destroyed except for the foundations located in the roadside ditch. The southeast side, devastated by up to a third, showed the same picture. At the southwest corner, up to 1.5 m of rising masonry remained. The further course of the SW front and also the southern section of the northwest side were completely destroyed. A 1 m high remnant of the southeast corner also remained.
