Gut Wachholz was already marked on a map from 1764. In the entrance hall, 577 tiles with biblical motifs from Holland were installed. In its current form, the main house was built in 1904. "Hoping and Striving leads to Success" is written above the entrance of today's nursing home of the Müller-Brüchert family.
