Miltitz Manor

In Oberdorf is the extensive former manor house. It was first mentioned in 1457 as a knight's court. Its builders were the Lords of Miltitz, whose ancestral home it is and to whom it belonged until the 17th century. In 1551, an old-established manor house appeared, whose lords exercised hereditary and high jurisdiction. Later owners were the Lords of Luckowien (Luckawen) until 1710, and subsequently the noble family Heynitz, including Carl Wilhelm Benno von Heynitz in the second half of the 18th century. Due to numerous additions and alterations, little of the original complex remained, including the eastern residential building, a coat of arms stone, and two ashlar round-arch portals. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.
