Luttringhausen Manor

The manor house Luttringhausen is mentioned in 1406 as being owned by the Wettberg family. In 1644, it passed into the possession of the Lenthe family, who still live here and manage the estate. The complex is now a protected monument.

The Main Building

The main building is a two-story plastered building with a hipped roof, built in 1714. The central axis is emphasized by a three-story avant-corps with a triangular gable and a baroque portal. The portal is flanked by pilasters and topped by an elaborate coat of arms of the von Lenthe family.

The Chapel

The chapel, built in 1698, is a small, rectangular plastered building with a hipped roof and a ridge turret. Inside, there is a baroque altar and a pulpit from the 18th century.

The Farm Buildings

The farm buildings, arranged around a rectangular courtyard, date from the 18th and 19th centuries. They include stables, barns, and a granary.

The manor house is surrounded by a spacious park, laid out in the 19th century as an English landscape garden. It features old trees, winding paths, and a pond.

The manor house is still inhabited by the von Lenthe family and is used for agricultural purposes. Parts of the building are occasionally open to the public for guided tours or cultural events.
