Kauppa Manor

The manor has been owned by the von Schreibersdorf family since the beginning of the 15th century. Ownership changed in 1637 to J. Georg Vitzthum von Eckstädt and in 1649 to the von Gersdorf family. In 1710, they built the present manor house on the walls of a previous building. After this, ownership changed in 1751 to H. Heinrich von Zezschwitz, in 1791 to the Lords von Reuß, in 1801 to the Burgrave von Dohna, in 1813 to the von Standtfest family, and around 1900 to Ludwig Johannes Hernsdorf. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 2003, the manor house was renovated.
