Hohenfichte Manor

The Manor House+
The electoral gamekeeper and owner of the Jägerhof in Schellenberg, Georg Günther, laid the foundation stone for this manor house in 1680. The estate served to provide horses for the Saxon electoral entourage on their journeys between Augustusburg and Dresden. The manor house changed hands several times. The following names are mentioned as owners: Pitterlin, Zanthier, Schütz, Grundmann, and Hauschild. In 1808, a new building was constructed. After the expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945, it housed a state breeding farm. In 1996, the manor house and the estate returned to private ownership of a Mr. Albersmeier. Animal breeding is still carried out today.
