A manor house in Großpösna is already mentioned in 1190 as being owned by Bernhard von Mocheleyums. In 1290, ownership changed to the von Pflugk family, who managed the estate until 1548. After this, ownership changed in 1574 to Wolf Seidel, in 1589 to Caspar von Zehmen, and in 1594 to Johann Christoph Braun. In 1606, the feudal estate was elevated to a knight's estate. Frequent changes of ownership followed. In 1659, Christoph von Mühlbach is named as the estate owner. He had the manor house rebuilt in 1660. After this, ownership changed in 1735 to the von Peine family, at the end of the 18th century to the von Bülow family, in the middle of the 19th century to Philipp Theodor Zürcher, and in 1909 to Wilhelm Refardt. In 1945, the last owner, August Clara Refardt, was dispossessed and expelled by the communists. After 1945, apartments were set up in the house. The house was renovated from 2006-08.
