The Provostry of Wolfenbüttel, once a historical monastery, is located in the city of Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony, Germany. Today, it serves as one of twelve administrative units of the Evangelical Lutheran State Church in Braunschweig.

The origins of the Provostry of Wolfenbüttel date back to the 16th century, when it existed as a monastery from the year 1561. The monastery, which was dedicated to Saint Mary, was dissolved after 1568 as part of the secularization process.

The Provostry of Wolfenbüttel is situated in the heart of the Braunschweig State Church. It borders the Provostries of Braunschweig and Königslutter to the north, Salzgitter-Lebenstedt and Goslar to the west, and Schöppenstedt to the east. The area of the Provostry is not identical to the district of Wolfenbüttel and includes communities from various districts and cities.
