Palazzo Pollini (Mendrisio)
In Mendrisio, between Via Pontico Virunio and Via alle Torre, one finds one of the most magnificent baroque palaces in Ticino - the Palazzo Pollini. Its facades are adorned with paintings in a trompe-l'oeil style. The Palazzo was built between 1719 and 1720 by Aurelio Nicolo Torriani. In 1792, the palace passed to Count Gaetano Pollini de Mendrisio.
