The Palais+
The Palais was built in 1748 as a planned new town hall. In 1750, due to a lack of funds in the city of Gunzenhausen, the forebuilding was demolished. Subsequently, the building was completed in a modified form by Chief Administrator and Master Falconer Ernst von Heydenab as a Palais. From 1797, the Palais served as a Prussian Cameral Office and then a Bavarian Rentamt. From 1850 to 1937, it was used by various confectioneries. From 1937 to 1981, the Palais served as the City Museum and has been used by the Raiffeisen Volksbank e. G. Gewerbebank since 1981.
