New Castle Simmelsdorf

In 1781, a building was erected in the economic courtyard, temporarily called the "small manor house". In 1808, the Voit and offices for the patrimonial court were housed in the two-story hip-roofed building (Am Tucherschloss 6). As part of the comprehensive modernization of the castle complex, the Tucher Foundation had the old court clerk's house demolished and, in its place, built another office building in the Neo-Gothic style in 1844/45 (Am Tucherschloss 8), which was later referred to as the "New Castle". The symmetrically arranged wing buildings were extended with upper floors during a renovation in 1877. After fire damage, the central building ("Corps de Logis") had to be renewed in 1894. From 1992 to 2002, the office of the Altnürnberger Landschaft e.V. was located here.
