The Collegiate Church of St. Katharina was founded in 1511. Over the centuries, it shaped the religious and cultural life in Wolfegg. The collegiate church was dedicated to Saint Catherine and Saint Francis, with the veneration of Saint Catherine being prominent today. In the course of secularization, the collegiate church was dissolved in 1806.
