History+
The original complex at Lindenplatz, characterized by old trees, a brick wall, and historic gravestones, underwent a significant redesign in 1920. Under the direction of the renowned Lübeck landscape architect Harry Maasz, the churchyard was enhanced with features including a border of fieldstone memorial plaques dedicated to those who fell in the First World War. Later additions included an obelisk and, in 1961, heraldic plaques representing the former eastern territories of the German Reich. A memorial stone from the Evangelical parish, dating back to 1837 and bearing an inscription from Baruch 4:23, stands at the entrance opposite the historic Bordesholm lime tree.
