Constructed around 1520/21, the building originally functioned as the monastery's bakehouse. Its ground floor, built from Maulbronn sandstone, once housed stables for the donkeys of millers and bakers. Above this rise a half-timbered floor and two projecting attic levels. A covered staircase on the gable side leads to the upper half-timbered floor, where the floor beams are visibly exposed. The consoles on the corner and main posts are adorned with indentations, while the attic levels are unadorned and topped with a half-hip roof.
