From Noble Residence to Convent+

In the 13th century, a noble residence of the Lords of Niedegge was built. Since 1853, the property has served as a convent for the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which opened an educational institution for girls there in 1854. The Neo-Gothic convent church was built between 1862 and 1865. The Sisters of the Sacré Coeur now operate a private grammar school for girls and a higher education institution for economic professions here.
