Karmelitenkloster Ingelheimerhausen (Hausen), zuvor Augustinerdoppelstift, Augustinerchorfrauenstift

In the mid-12th century, Augustinian nuns established themselves on the Mainzer Berg and founded the monastery of Hausen. Early documentary mentions refer to it as Husen in 1190 and Husse in 1276, before it became known as Ingelheimerhusen from 1319. In 1190, Werner II von Bolanden held the Vogtship over the monastery. From its inception, the monastery owned land near the then parish church of St. Remigius in Nieder-Ingelheim. In the 14th century, the monastery experienced economic decline, evidenced by the sale of large parts of its property by the abbesses in 1364 and 1367. Around 1439, Carmelites took over the site. The Reformation led to further economic and spiritual decay. In 1537, Archbishop Albrecht of Mainz therefore consented to the sale of the monastery by the Carmelite provincial Diethrich von Gauda for 2000 guilders to the brothers Damm and Kaspar Knebel von Katzenelnbogen. The General Prior Nikolaus confirmed this sale on September 6, 1538, in Naples.

The monastery of Ingelheimerhausen was located in the present-day southeastern district of the city of Ingelheim am Rhein in the Mainz-Bingen district, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

The remains of the former monastery now form the Haxthäuserhof.
