Karl-Theodor Castle

The farm complex is located at Kurpfalzstraße 99 and is the last property on Mußbach territory at the border to the likewise incorporated neighboring village of Gimmeldingen.

The Hof was built in 1709 and only later received the name of the Elector. At the beginning of the 20th century, the winery was acquired by the family of the current owners. Erich Stolleis (1906–1986), who was, among other things, Lord Mayor of the Palatinate cities of Landau and Ludwigshafen during the Nazi era, came from Carl-Theodor-Hof. The winery is now run by Stolleis' younger son Peter.

The complex is dominated by a cuboid manor house with two full stories and a mansard floor, which has gable windows and dormers; to the north, a one-and-a-half-story utility building in the same style is built in front towards the street. Elements such as the string course, the round-arch portals, and the tall rectangular windows with green shutters confirm the Baroque as the period of origin. Both buildings extend south from the street. The main facade with the raised ground floor entrance, which is reached via a five-step open staircase, faces east towards the paved inner courtyard; this is enclosed towards the street by a 3 m high sandstone wall with a round-arch gate and is lined on the east by utility buildings, some of which have half-timbered walls. The southern gable wall of the manor house with a veranda in front, like the inner courtyard, borders the garden and the vineyards, the west side faces a small side street, the Hahnenweg. In the park-like garden, there is a sandstone bust of the Elector on a sandstone pedestal.
