The Capuchin Monastery of Stockach was established in 1719. Dedicated to the Archangel Michael, it was inhabited by Capuchin friars. For nearly a century, the monks shaped the religious and cultural life of the area. The monastery was dissolved in 1809 as part of the secularization process.
