Czernin Castle
The Czernin Hunting Lodge is located in Böckstein in the municipality of Bad Gastein. The Czernin Hunting Lodge was built on behalf of the client Count Rudolf von Czernin on the church hill of Böckstein in the municipality of Bad Gastein and completed in 1880. In 1902, the castle burned down, but could be restored with minor deviations according to the plans of Josef Wessicken by master builder Angelo Comini. It is still part of the impressive architectural ensemble of Böckstein, where the Gastein Alpine Road, which leads to the Gastein Healing Tunnel and Sportgastein, also begins, and the Altböckstein Mining Museum also invites visitors.
