Falkenlust Castle
The small castle was built in 1749 for Margrave Carl Wilhelm Friedrich of Brandenburg-Ansbach by the master builder Johann David Steingruber. In 1764, ownership transferred to Karl Wilhelm Teuffel von Pirkensee, in 1794 to Johann Paulus Späth, in 1810 to the Casinogesellschaft Gunzenhausen, in 1939 to Johann Reichardt, in 1974 to the Hospitalstiftung Gunzenhausen, and in 1982 to the City of Gunzenhausen. From 1982 to 1984, it was converted into the "Haus des Gastes" (Guest House) and has been used as such ever since.
