Zülow Manor

Zülow Manor House is located in the Zülow district of the city of Sternberg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is a two-story, two-wing building. It was built in 1871 by the architect Martin Haller (who also built Hamburg City Hall, among other things) in the Neoclassical style for the landowner Johannes Hillmann. Later, the house passed to the von Dallwitz family through marriage. They were expelled in 1945 after the Second World War. During GDR times, the house served as a sales outlet (Konsum) with storage and office, an egg collection point, a village pub, and a cultural room. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, it stood empty for many years and threatened to fall into disrepair. It was not until 1998/99 that the listed building was completely renovated and converted into a holiday residence.

Weddings can be held in the building's library. Also worth seeing are the reliefs by the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen hanging in the entrance area.

The manor house also includes an 11,000 square meter landscaped garden and several outbuildings, some of which have been renovated.
