Wust Manor

After the previous building was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War, Hans Heinrich von Katte had the manor house built in 1726/27 as the new seat of the von Katte family. The simple two-story Baroque building with two side wings forms a kind of courtyard of honor towards the church, where captured cannons from the Battle of Ramillies were displayed. After the expropriation and expulsion of the owners by the communists in 1945, the manor house was used as a school from 1948 onwards. Today it houses the primary school of the municipality of Wust and in summer the Wust Summer School.
