The Manor House+
The manor house in its present form was built around 1880 by Friedrich Frohberger, a wealthy merchant from Leipzig. He acquired the estate in 1879 and had the old manor house demolished to make way for a new, representative building. The plans for the new building were drawn up by the renowned architect Arwed Roßbach, who also designed the new Gewandhaus in Leipzig.
The manor house is a two-story building with a hipped roof and a central risalit. The facade is decorated with various architectural elements, such as pilasters, cornices, and window pediments. The interior of the house was also lavishly designed, with stucco ceilings, parquet floors, and valuable wall coverings. The manor house was surrounded by a spacious park with old trees, a pond, and various outbuildings.
