History
In the middle of the 19th century (first survey in 1868), the knitwear manufacturer and Bockum alderman Karl Hügel had the villa built in the Italian style. Particularly noteworthy are the arrangement of the various building parts and the varying number of floors. Haus Schönhausen houses the administration and classrooms of the Krefeld Music School.
