Herrenhaus Roggenhorst emerged from an old moated castle. The present manor house was built in 1888.
From Moated Castle to Manor House
The history of Roggenhorst dates back to the Middle Ages, when a fortified moated castle stood on this site. Over the centuries, the complex underwent numerous changes and expansions. In 1888, the old castle was replaced by the impressive manor house that we see today. The new building was designed in the style of historicism, combining elements of various architectural eras.
