Pommlitz Manor

The Manor House+
History of the Building+
The manor house is the oldest building in the village. It was first mentioned in a document in 1378. In the Middle Ages, it was a fiefdom of the Elector of Saxony. In the 17th century, it was first owned by the Lords of Seydewitz and then, until 1777, by the Lords of Schindler. In 1795, Miss von Holläufer was the owner. Until 1819, it was owned by Major von Wedel. From 1827 to 1945, it was owned by the Müller family, who leased it, among others, to the Scholze family before 1945. In 1945, the manor was expropriated and divided in the land reform. In September 2003, the former manor house was used as a residential building.
