Mahlis Manor

Mahlis is located west of Wermsdorf and boasts a small but fine baroque manor house. Lieutenant Georg Abraham von Scharoth acquired the Mahlis estate in 1711 and had the manor house built in 1716. In 1722, the property passed to Christoph Heinrich von Felgenhauer. After he left it to his widow, the knight's estate "wandered" to the Elector in 1762 and became a chamber estate. During this time, Mahlis was one of the largest agricultural enterprises in the area. After 1945, it became collective farm property (LPG) and the estate is now abandoned. It belongs to an owner from Bayreuth who wishes to sell the property. The manor house is partially renovated.
