Liebstein Manor

The history of the building dates back to the Middle Ages. The first documented mention of a manor house on this site dates from 1304. Over the centuries, the property changed hands many times and was repeatedly rebuilt and expanded.

The building is a prime example of Baroque architecture, although later alterations have added elements from other eras. The main building is a two-story plastered building with a mansard roof. The facade is adorned with rich stucco decorations, including pilasters, cornices, and window surrounds.

Interior Design

The interior of the building is equally impressive. The representative rooms on the ground floor feature elaborate ceiling paintings, parquet floors, and valuable fireplaces. The upper floor, which once served as private living quarters, is more simply furnished but still retains much of its historic charm.

Today, the building houses a museum that showcases the history of the region and the building itself. In addition, parts of the building are used for cultural events and private celebrations. The surrounding park, with its ancient trees and picturesque ponds, is open to the public and invites visitors to linger.
