Kotelow Manor

Coytlowe, a village laid out as an Angerdorf (a village with a central green), was first mentioned in a document in 1382. An early Gothic village church already existed at this time. In 1672, ownership passed from the von Rieben family to Henning von Oertzen. The family remained landowners until their forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945. Kotelow Manor House was built in 1733 and renovated in 2008. Since then, it has been used as a hotel. A registry office is located in Kotelow Manor House. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival first found a venue in Kotelow Manor House in 2009.
