Esselt Manor (Drevenack)
Haus Esselt is a former manor house located at Otto-Pankok-Weg 4 in Hünxe. It was first mentioned in documents in 1482. The current manor house dates from the 17th century. The moats of the moated castle were fed by the Issel river. Owners included Christoph von Loeben, the Baron von Wylich, and the painter and sculptor Otto Pankok, whose daughter still lives in the house. Today, the Otto Pankok Museum is located in a former farm building.
The manor house, situated on the Issel, is a plastered, two-story brick building under a high hip roof. A bell turret was placed on the roof between two chimney tops. The building is a protected monument.
