The manor house Augustusgabe is mentioned in 1665 as being in the possession of Duke August of Saxony-Weißenfels. In 1753, the manor house was rebuilt.
Architectural Features+
The manor house is a two-story, plastered building with a mansard roof. The facade is structured by pilasters and cornices. The central risalit is crowned by a triangular gable.
Interior Design
The interior of the manor house is characterized by spacious rooms and a representative staircase. Original stucco ceilings and wall paintings have been preserved in some rooms.
History of Ownership+
After the death of Duke August, the manor house changed hands several times. In the 19th century, it was owned by the noble family von der Schulenburg. In 1945, the manor house was expropriated and used for various purposes, including a school and a residential building.
Current Use and Future Prospects+
Today, the manor house Augustusgabe is privately owned and is being extensively renovated. In the future, it is planned to use it for cultural events and as a hotel.
