Schoppe Manor

Haus Schoppe is a two-story half-timbered house in Fröndenberg-Langschede. The year 1709 is noted on a fireplace lintel. A further expansion dates to 1771. Only a few Rococo elements remain in the house; among others, a window and a richly decorated door originate from this era. The house, located at the most important intersection in the village in the immediate vicinity of a Ruhr bridge, is currently vacant, and some windows are broken.

The house was owned by the Marck family, who had been settled on a mansus belonging to Haus Altendorf in Langinscede since the 13th century. The Schoppe family acquired the house in 1825.

On the property behind the house, on the slope, there is a three-story, square-plan defensive tower built of quarry stone from the 16th century. On the rooftop, there is a clock tower with a Baroque dome.
