Rath Castle
Haus Rath is a manor house near Arnoldsweiler, a district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia.
It is located northeast of the village of Arnoldsweiler near the Ellebach stream. The history of the manor house dates back to the 16th century. However, the Frankish "Rode" name suggests an earlier settlement.
Since 1813, the complex, surrounded by moats, has been owned by the Barons von Bourscheidt, previously owned by Baron Spies von Büllesheim.
The manor house with its outer bailey and farmyard, with its brick buildings and largely Baroque furnishings, is one of the most impressive secular architectural testimonies in the district of Düren.
