Haus Hove+

Haus Hove is a former manor house in the Vonderort district of Bottrop. It originated in the 13th century. The estate had a double moat fed by the Kornbecke stream. The noble family died out with Otto von der Hove in 1737. Since 1874, the Steinhaus family has owned the property. Before its reconstruction in 2004, the 15th-century gatehouse was the oldest stone building in old Bottrop. Today, some loopholes still bear witness to the former defensiveness of the buildings.
